Detroit Mercy Titans Hall of Fame
Farkas was a hard-charging running back who was a 1937 All-American selection. He was third in the nation in scoring as a senior with 16 touchdowns and went on to play professionally for the Washington Redskins. Led the NFL in rushing attempts (139) and all purpose yards (984) in 1939. Also led the NFL in rushing touchdowns in 1938 with six while playing for the Redskins. A member of two NFL pro bowl teams in 1939 and 1942. Spent most of the time as a kick returner and a running back but also saw time on defense totaling four career interceptions.
