He scored 899 points in basketball and led U-D in scoring as a senior with 397 points (15.8 average) and was a 1958 Titan co-captain. In 75 career games, Walsh averaged 12.0 points per game and finished ninth nationally in free throw percentage (.838) as a senior. He led the Titan baseball team in batting average hitting .365 as a junior.
