Detroit Mercy Titans Hall of Fame
With her induction, Katherine James became the first women’s fencer to be recognized in the Titans Hall of Fame. As a senior, she tallied 52 victories, one shy of the school record, and would take ninth in the foil at the Midwest Fencing Championships. She posted more than 120 wins in her career and helped the team place 10th at the conference championships as a junior. She garnered the President’s Award as a senior, awarded to a graduating senior who during his/her tenure has shown academic and athletic excellence, are leaders on and off the field and represent the true essence of being a Titan student-athlete.
